Grove Court in the early 1900s when writers like O'Henry could afford to live here. This is the setting for his famous story "The Last Leaf".
The Grove Street Block Association was formed as a non-partisan organization, whose purpose is to promote and encourage the viability of the neighborhood in general, and specifically to enhance the appearance, safety, and general quality of life on Grove Street.
Membership includes all residents, merchants, and owners of property on Grove Street from No.2 at the corner of Hudson Street east until No. 96 at the eastern end of Christopher Park. We meet every month, and our meeting schedule can always be found in our Display Case near the corner of Bleecker and Grove.
