The Jane Street Association (JSA) is a membership organization open to all residents of Jane Street and of the intersecting cross streets between West 12th Street and Horatio Street (Greenwich Avenue, West 4th Street, 8th Avenue, Hudson Street, Greenwich Street, Washington Street, and West Street). The membership year is October 1 to September 30, and annual dues are $10 per person.

Through our newsletter, The JaneStreeter, we inform residents of issues that affect life on Jane Street and the immediate area. Among JSA’s other functions are caring for the approximately 75 trees that line our street and helping to care for the Jane Street Garden and its surrounding sidewalk. The Association also makes annual contributions to various charitable organizations and social service agencies serving the Greenwich Village community.

To raise money for these activities, JSA holds an annual Street Sale, which is like a giant yard sale at which residents of Jane Street and nearby streets sell a great variety of items as well as original crafts and artwork. There are no commercial vendors at the JSA Street Sale, which has made it one of the most popular Village events.

JSA holds general meetings, which are open to all interested parties, throughout the year. Residents are encouraged to attend these meetings to air their concerns.
