New York City is a melting pot for both cultures and cuisine. This melting pot will come to life in Greenwich Village on Saturday, September 18, 2004, and we invite you to be a part of the excitement! That’s when the Carmine Street Block Association (CaSBA) will hold its  third annual, Meet the Chefs benefit.

Meet the Chefs brings together over 35 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, as well special  dishes from our local firehouse  for a food-tasting extravaganza that will attract thousands of people. The event is advertised locally and nationally. All proceeds will go to three educational institutions: PS 41 , The Downing Street Pre-School Cooperative and Our Lady of Pompeii Elementary, as well as to support other  local charities  and CaSBA programs.

These wonderful organizations have been long-time fixtures in our community and they are all feeling the pinch of budget cuts and financials hardships. We are sure you will want to participate in this exciting event which will be publicized by:

• A comprehensive public relations campaign with over 30 targetedmedia placements including: TV, radio, print, and Internet sites.

• Poster placements throughout lower Manhattan with restaurant names and logos prominently displayed.

From booths open throughout the entire event, each sponsor will be able to promote their products or services to thousands of Meet the Chefs visitors.

Meet the Chefs will draw patrons from around the city to indulge in colorful cuisine prepared by the great chefs of Greenwich Village, to listen to live music, or even win a present, all while supporting the community’s most precious members — our children.
